We wanted to let you know that we’re making some changes. As part of a complete rebranding process, we are pleased to announce that as of 1st September, Megalabs will become known as “Dadfords Print Processing”
The decision to rebrand follows research conducted with our customers, print partners and suppliers from around the UK, ROI, and Europe. Many of you told us that the Megalabs name didn’t really fit in with our core business; this coupled with the recent drop in the value of the pound, has prompted us to take action.
As you may be aware, since the recent decision of the UK to exit the EU, the value of Sterling has declined drastically. All of our photographic consumables are produced outside of the UK, and as a result our cost prices are 15-20% higher than they were at the beginning of this year. We are negotiating with all of our suppliers to reduce our cost prices wherever we can, and instead of implementing a price rise we have opted to re-brand, re-structure and reduce our product range. By doing this we hope to save money within our organisation rather than be forced to increase prices. It makes sense to us for carry out these product changes and rebrand at the same time in order to minimise any disruption to you.
We also believe that by offering our services under a new banner, we will have a greater marketplace impact and become a much stronger team. Moving forwards we hope we will be able to provide even more value to all of our customers and, if the value of the pound falls lower, we will be better placed to deal with any further repercussions.
When we make the change on 1st September, you will see the “Dadfords” branding introduced in advertising, marketing materials, signage and across social media. Your website orders will not be affected, but the Megalabs website will redirect to www.dadfords.com. All emails sent to any of the @megalabs.co.uk addresses will still be delivered. Megalabs email addresse will stay active for a short while before being phased out.
Our trading address, phone number and working practices have not been affected; trade customers should note that our bank account name will change, but the account number and sort code remain the same. Full details will appear on all invoices from 1st September 2016.
This is a very exciting time for us, and we appreciate your confidence in us and your continued support in choosing us as your photographic print supplier.
